Eaton Park

Eaton Community Park is a great resource where children can play safely, people can walk, play football or pétanque, exercise their dogs or just sit and enjoy the view. It's a much loved space in the village where wildlife can thrive and there's even a small community orchard.

Friends of the Park

Lots of people in the village support the park by helping in whatever way they can with fund raising, maintenance and various events including a curry night, a quiz night, a bonfire party and a Christmas star trail.

Fund Raising

The Eaton Community Park Association organizes a number of fund raising events throughout the year as it receives no outside income.

You can make a donation at any time.

History

Before the Community Park was set up, there was no safe communal area in Eaton for children to meet and play . . . . . In the Spring of 2007 a piece of land became available that had the potential for use as a park.

Thanks to a National Lottery grant

The photo shows phase one of the new children's playground. Phase two is imminent and includes a basket swing, an additional springer, a tractor trailer and a play shop.

Thanks to all who helped at the weekend with clearing, tidying and maintaining the grounds.It's looking good!

We also have plans for new picnic tables and improved access to the entrances.

We are enormously grateful to Clockwise Credit Union for their grant of £500 which provides 2 more picnic tables for the children's play area.
